Moments from the Iqra Wave journey

On Friday, 28 August 2026, Iqra Wave Foundation held its inaugural discussion and exchange meeting at a conference hall in Kawran Bazar, Dhaka. The foundation is a newly established, non-political voluntary organisation registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860.

Speakers shared the foundation’s purpose: to promote Islamic values and nurture purity of faith and morality by putting technology to good use. The team introduced Porda AI, which blurs immodest content in images and videos, Music Remover, which strips music from videos in seconds, and Fajr Fighter, which helps people wake up for the dawn prayer.

The discussion also touched on the need for time-appropriate laws, protecting children from inappropriate digital content, and strengthening moral values in society through technology.
